Heather Imrie • photo stylist

Specializing in product styling, and on set art direction, I excel in transforming concepts into captivating visual narratives.  Whether it's bed styling, tabletop arrangements, or set design, I offer a unique blend of creativity and strategic insight. With a career spanning decades in commercial photography, I bring a wealth of experience and creativity to every project.

My career as a visual storyteller began after high school when I joined a creative team of visual merchandisers, overseeing store displays and windows for renowned brands. This background instilled in me a keen eye for detail and a knack for creating captivating visual narratives. After graduating with honors from The Fashion Institute of Technology I dived into the world of commercial photography as an assistant shooter.

Equipped with a robust technical knowledge of camera techniques, lighting, and tools like Capture One and Photoshop, and driven by a profound appreciation for the art of presentation, I ensure a seamless workflow from concept to execution. As a hands-on team player, I'm no stranger to rolling up my sleeves, whether it’s building sets, moving furniture, or providing hands-on guidance to assistants.

For me, a successful shoot hinges on a happy, cohesive team working towards a common goal. With a passion for mentoring and fostering a collaborative environment, I guarantee a smooth production process that yields exceptional results, every time.

I divide time between the NY Metropolitan area and Upstate NY.

"I've worked with Heather for several years at Vermont Country Store. She has brought a new vision to the styling of our domestics category, helped invigorate our still life photography, and brought excitement to our off-figure fashion work. She brings not only an eye and hand for styling, but many years of diverse production experience, whether in studio or on location. Most importantly, sales are up in the categories she works on!"
